You wake up every morning and realize that you’re still fighting that
same old losing battle with your hair. It does its own thing no matter
how hard you try to tame it, and all those expensive gels, mousses,
conditioners, and serums have failed you, yet again. Well, fortunately
for you, I have some super home remedies that will help you wave your frizzy hair days a much-anticipated buh-bye!
Home Remedy For Dry Hair:
1. Wonderful Hot Oil
All
you have to do for a dry hair home remedy is mix coconut oil, almond
oil, and olive oil (enough to suffice for a complete head massage), warm
it ever so slightly and give yourself a rejuvenating head massage.
Leave this on for a minimum of 20 minutes or maximum overnight and wash
it well with your regular shampoo. Voila! You can flaunt your silky,
smooth, and glossy hair.
2. Vinegar Magic:
Pour
about 1 tbsp of vinegar as you wash your hair the next time you’re in
the shower. Rinse well and shampoo for super-soft and shiny hair!
3. Honey Hair Mask:
Make
a hair mask with (a paste of) honey and hair oil, keep it on for about
20 minutes, rinse and wash it with shampoo, and say hello to fabulously
supple hair.
4. Good ‘ol Mayonnaise:
Finally,
a not-so-unhealthy use of this delicious condiment! Massage a dollop of
it in your hair, let it stay for 10 minutes and then rinse off with
shampoo.
5. Amazing Aloe Vera:
Here’s what you do. Mix these ingredients, let them stay in your hair for half an hour and then wash off for glossy, shiny hair.
- Yogurt – 3 tbsp
- Aloe Vera – 4 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
6. Egg It Up:
Eggs!
The quintessential natural conditioner! Massage egg yolks into your
hair, let it sit for 15-20 minutes and then rinse off. Easy-peasy! The
egg will nourish your cuticles, and every strand of hair leaving behind
no trace of dryness! Your bathroom will smell … erm … a tad bit
unpleasant post this shower!
7. Banocado!:
Wondering
what a banocado is? A cross between a banana and a few avocados that is
a wonder recipe to treat dry and brittle hair! Mash a banana and an
avocado with ½ a tbsp of almond oil. Massage it into your hair, let it sit for a maximum of one hour and then wash it off.
8. ACV – The Supreme!:
½
cup of apple cider vinegar when mixed with 1 cup of water and massaged
into the hair will moisturize it and make it lustrous to look at and
silky to touch.
Supreme it is- hands down! ACV has myriad
benefits, can be used to treat zits, clarify the skin and even removing
product build up from your hair. If you have tried from Mayo to Greek
yoghurt on your dry hair with no results, it is time you trusted ACV. In
return you will be gifted with soft, smooth and shiny hair that you are
sure to fall in love with!
9. Glug! Glug! Beer!:
Yeah
I know, another stinky remedy, but trust me, it works wonders. Just
pour a bottle of beer on your hair when you shower, let it sit for a
couple of minutes and continue with your shower as if nothing happened.
Beer
is said to have a protein that helps nourish dry hair and damaged
cuticles. So the next time you see a bottle of inexpensive beer at the
grocer’s buy it for your hair!
10. Bring In the Baking Soda:
Make a smooth paste of the following and comb it into your hair, followed by a thorough rinse and wash.
- Water – ¼ cup
- Baking soda – 1 tsp
If
you thought baking soda dries up your hair, well it is just for the
first few washes. Baking soda in fact when used regularly absorbs only
the excess oil in your hair, works on dandruff and keeps you hair soft
and luxurious. The best way to use baking soda to treat dry hair is to
substitute the water with an egg. Simply beat some baking soda into an
egg and apply the mixture onto your hair and bid goodbye to dry hair
woes!
Well, there you go! 10 super-awesome remedies you can use
